The UFO community in Germany is soon to rejoice, as their government is being ordered to publicly release a top secret report involving aliens and UFOs.

Although numerous reports speak of German UFOs and the scientists who helped develop them, the German state repeatedly denied any implication in such affairs. The general population seemed really distressed with this allegation especially that, in 2005, the British government openly admitted conducting a thorough scientific study of unidentified flying crafts over the years. The news were made public after years of denying having any implications into this matter, similar to what the German officials were doing.

The dispute reached its final height in 2008, when Dr. Wolfgang Schauble, Federal Minister of the Interior at that time, furtherly refused to admit any implications of the German state with UFOs. Soon after, Exopolitics Germany, a UFO disclosure organization, released information about the existence of an investigative report to the German media.

It was clear then that someone was trying to cover-up the truth, so a lawsuit was filed with the Berlin Administrative Court, demanding that UFO reports conducted by the state should be made publicly available for German citizens.

Frank Reitemeyer who took the German parliament to court, won his first battle in 2011. The court ruled that German citizens had the right to see the classified report put together by the country’s specific service. His arguments were the following:

I want to know facts and it bothers me that in France, England, USA, Canada, the citizens can see the UFO files, and I am not informed as a German from my German government. It is therefore such a glaring discrepancy,” he expressed his disappointment. “In France, a citizen is automatically informed by his government because the government provides the UFO files to the website of the space agency, so officially on the government side, anyone can view the documents free at home, Reitmeyer concluded.

The UFO community is rejoicing after 18 confidential UFO files were made available by UK’s Ministry of Defense, and they now hope that German government will do the same.

Although many UFO enthusiasts believe the German files will disclose relevant aspects of the UFO phenomenon, there are some who think they will only release meaningless documents proving nothing more than what we already know. Such is the case of Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigation Manual, who recently said that “they won’t reveal any secrets about hidden alien technology or alien bodies…but then again, we can always hope.”

Watson is confident that some governments are too deeply involved into UFO affairs that they’ll only release specific information so that other secrets remain preserved. “Sometimes governments hide information like this to protect operational procedures or protect non-UFO related secrets, like the capabilities of early warning systems or the names and details of witnesses,” he said. “In this case perhaps they don’t want to show they have taken this subject seriously, or that they are as much in the dark as everyone else.

The British files revealed interesting aspects, but they failed to admit that “flying saucers” are a reality, that’s why Watson fears the same will happen with the German government. “It concluded that unidentified aerial phenomenon, or UAPs, do exist, but not flying saucers. When, or if the German files are released, it will be interesting to see if they come to similar conclusions,” Watson said.

The German government will probably avoid disclosing any information regarding extraterrestrial life on our planet, crash sites or mirroring alien technology, with the presented information being only a distraction from the true phenomenon.

I doubt [the information] will be anything related to the recovery of crashed saucers or clandestine meetings with aliens,” Watson added. “It looks like much of their material is related to the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) and the implications of alien contact and whether this relates to UFO sightings in Germany. Then again, there might be some surprise. he concluded.

The German parliament is currently in the process of an appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court of berlin-Brandenburg, claiming that the files cannot be released due to their copyright laws. This means the officials are either distressed of the situation, or they simply plan to win more time. Whatever the case, the German UFO report is soon to be made public, and there’s certain interest as to what it contains.
