On one hand, we may think that the U.S. current president Donald Trump is intrigued by space because of his involvement with the Space Force. So naturally, when Navy recently admitted to seeing UFOs for years, and creating new guidelines for pilots to report them without feeling judged, reporters rushed to Trump for a comment. What does the president think about these Navy UFO sightings?
Earlier this year Trump signed a directive to create a military Space Force Russia and China already have similar programs). But at least on the official level, the program’s goals are less alien-defense and more being able to take down other countries’ satellites (which in all honestly can include UFOs).
There also have been UFOs spotted above Trump’s golf course last year. Trump’s son Eric, however, dismissed the photo someone snapped writing them off as a reflection in the window of ceiling lights (although they look too close together and out of place). Regardless, it seems that the Trumps are skeptics.
UFOs are still a controversial topic, so when a reporter asked President Trump to comment, his response was vague at best:
“I’ve seen, and I’ve read, and I’ve heard. And I did have one very brief meeting on it. But people are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly,” Trump said.
We can only assume that he is talking about the Navy reports and not the UFOs themselves.
He does add that he trusts the Navy pilots.
“I think my great pilots would know. Our great pilots would know. They see things a little bit different from the past. So we’re going to see. We’re watching.”

U.S. Presidents Response to UFOs
Trump’s vague response on anything UFO related is common with most of the former presidents as well.
Obama previously said that he is instructed not to say anything about the flies on Area 51. George W. Bush explained in an interview that there are secrets he cannot tell anyone ever. Hillary Clinton promised to declassify all Area 51 documents if she was elected president, but she was not, so we are all still guessing.
